Hello, America! Thanks for sending in your old film!

Do YOU have an old roll of film lying around—in the back of a drawer or tucked in shoebox? Wonder what’s on it? How long has it been sitting there—5 years? 10 years? 15 years? Longer?

Submit it to us! Use our easy downloadable information card (below). FUJIFILM will develop and scan the film free of charge, and get it back to you. You choose one or two images—any one or two you want for any reason you want! Give us a short description of why you picked those images (we’ll guide you with helpful questions). Then see your images become part of a national archive, with the chance of being part of a future exhibition and a national high school curriculum.

  4. Now wait. You will be notified via email when your film has been processed.
  5. At that point, follow the link that is emailed to you. There you will find your images in your own private gallery.
  6. Select your favorite 1-2 images, add your stories, comments, or musings to those pictures. (We’ll guide you with helpful questions.)
  7. You will be notified via email once your image/s is part of the archive.
  8. You will have 4 weeks to choose and write about an image to be part of the national project. Ultimately, negatives will be returned to you.
